It seemed too obvious. It's been used on so many ads that are supposed to be happy and bouncy.
 

By the way, 'Your Disco Needs You' by Kylie Minogue is the gayest song ever - and would be great for your compilation Cherry!

Ermm So do you think there's something my boyfriend of 13 years who owns all the Kylie CDs and DVDs is not telling me?

 

I don't know that particular song but if it's on one of her CDs we'll have it somewhere.

If I want something smoother I would go for Something (The Beatles), Lay Lady Lay (Bob Dylan), God Only Knows (The Beach Boys) or Michael Row The Boat Ashore (The Highwaymen - it makes me go all goosey).

Great suggestions Oldspice Thumbs%20Up although that Nat King Cole track is used in a very annoying advert ... "we are the ones who should have been careful" aargh ...

 

Definitely going to dig out my Monkees CD this weekend though Smile

I love REM's Shiny Happy People and The Monkees. I think my favourite of theirs is Take A Giant Step.
 

Other favourites are:-

Knock On Wood by Amii Stewart.

Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles.

Rock The Casbah by The Clash.

Unbelievable by EMF.

Stacey's Mom by Fountains Of Wayne.

Molly Smiles by Jesse Spencer.

Wimmin by Ashley Hamilton.

And mostly anything by ABBA. Smile

 

Any of these songs give me a silly, happy feeling and some of them even have me laughing out loud, dancing, and singing along at the top of my voice.

Much to the embarassment of my kids. LOL

Probably not a good idea to listen to them if I was driving though.LOL

I love Time In A Bottle although I must admit that's the only song of his that I've heard. At least I think it is.
I like Our Lady Peace too, especially the song they did for the movie The Craft. I think it was called something like Tomorrow Never Knows.

Jim Croce wrote and recorded a number of beautiful songs before his early death in a plane crash when he was still in his 20s.
His best known songs include Time in a Bottle, I had to Say I Love You in a Song, Photographs and Memories, Big, Bad LeRoy Brown and I Got A Name.

I've always liked 'Time in a Bottle' - it was played when Kate died in Heartbeat (in the days when that was a good show) - but I never knew who the artist was.
