I made myself tomato and lentil soup last night.

Oh, it was in ours - maybe it varies from store to store. Sorry about the wasted trip GC

It was in mine too. Maybe the offer just finished?

Maybe.  They had Heinz on 3 for 2.

I can only eat a little Heinz tomato soup because I find the flavour so strong.

Anyone else like toast with their soup?

Yay, toast with soup is great, can't beat it, especially with chicken soup.  Incidentally, chicken soup has been medically proven to prevent choriza the virus that causes the common cold.

I often have a craving for toast. I think I might buy a toaster for the office.

I love soup with things like toast and sandwiches but also I love cream crackers crumbled up (not too small) and sprinkled into the bowl.

I have to be really annoying now and say I never eat tinned soup..... I always make my own. (Ducks quickly behind the sofa before the cushions start flying!!)

I make vegetable soup, mushroom soup, tomato soup and carrot and apple soup which is great on cold winter afternoons.

The tinned stuff always tastes too salty for me and very processed. Plus my lovely healthy start vouchers will buy me the ingredients, but not the tins of ready made stuff.

There's something very reassuring about people who make their own soup.

Yes - it's my usual lunch at work.  And I do make my own soup - vatloads of the stuff - but I like to keep a few tins in as a standby.  I don't like packet soup at all though.

I tried to make my own soup once but the lid burst off the blender, splattering me and my kitchen wall with soup.
