I will never understand how humans can do such cruel acts to another human. What is wrong with us?

Uncle charged with toddler murder
The uncle of a two-year-old girl found dead in her bedroom at home in Leeds has been charged with her rape and murder.

Casey Mullen was found dead at home in Oak Tree Crescent, Gipton, Leeds, on Sunday, following a disturbance outside the house.

Her uncle, Michael Patrick Mullen, 21, will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.

A post-mortem examination showed Casey died from "compression to the neck".

On Tuesday afternoon, magistrates granted police an extra 36 hours to question Mr Mullen, who was arrested on Sunday.

Two other men aged 19 and 20, who had been arrested in connection with the inquiry, have been released without charge.

This seems to be behaviour, which delves the bowels of depravity. But then this is the second case of the rape of a baby this year. Remember the sicko who did it while his 'girlfriend' videod it! These cases are still rare but why are there people like this at all? I'm sure we didn't have men like this 20 or 30 years ago.

I think we probably did but we didn't hear about it as the reporting / media wasn't then like it is now.

The first case you are referring to was (I think) the one committed by a man from my hometown. He was in my sister's class at school.

I think it goes on more than people realise. A lot of local news isn't reported in the national news too. There was a case of a young girl in Newcastle who was taken from her bath and abused last year, but I'm sure it didn't make national news.

There was a local (Plymouth) case last week of people who made their kids (5 and 6 year olds) punch and fight each other whilst they videoed it. They claimed it was a "character building" exercise.
