I went on a diet at New Year, lost three pounds while I was on holiday and have gradually put them back on since  My excuse is that I had flu and had a bad fall on some ice, so couldn't go to the gym. I have since recovered from both so it's no excuses anymore...
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

my main problem is an addiction to coke, dr. pepper and lucozade. by  cutting these out completely i started to lose it really quick. otherwise, i can only recommend eating healthy and getting some exercise... a daily walk really makes the difference.

weight training and the gym wont work for me either - muscle does weigh more.

I've been under too much stress recently to worry about my weight. I daren't weigh myself just yet as I know I've put a bit on. Once I move and settle down I'll go on a proper healthy diet.

I wouldn't worry about muscle you two - better to have muscle than fat!
