Ebay question

Can anyone tell me if ebay charges you a listing fee when you list items that don't sell? I was always told that they don't but I'm sure they do now.

I thought they did charge you if it doesn't sell, but you can relist it once for free?

Have you seen the new rules they are introducing for feedback? Something about buyers giving sellers individual scores for packaging, time it took to arrive and postage costs.  So that means if you charge anything over the price of a stamp for delivery half of them will low score you and say they were ripped off.

Ebay gets more and more ludicrous. It was in the paper last week about how some sellers get friends to bid on items to hike the price up, but of course ebay do nothing because they get profit out of it.

I do that all the time for friends if their stuff isn't fetching a good price. Nothing wrong with it.

I got 2 neutrals feedback yesterday because a parcel was posted on the 2nd Feb and didn't arrive until the 7th. Why do buyers think i am royal mail.

I see what you mean from a sellers point of view. I once had someone bid a DVD I was selling upto the ridiculous price of 80 quid just so they could leave me bad feedback. But then I managed to sell it as a second chance offer to someone else who had been bidding and got more for it than it was worth.

I agree! I got a something of Ebay but had to go all the way to the post office to get, it cost me a £1 for 5p missing form the postage!

so I give her - feedback she wasn;t happen I got a Full refund and the - feedback got withdraw

I have been in a similar position as a buyer but I always email the seller first to explain what happened and give them the chance to put it right before leaving feedback.

The same thing has happened to me and I did the same. I asked for a refund of the extra money I had to pay to collect my item, but he ignored my messages and I left a negative. He had quite a few negatives from people who had to go to the post office to collect their items.

I don't think that's a very professional way to do it plus it leaves you open to getting bad feedback yourself.

The buyer who left me 2 neutrals wasn't a happy bunny when he awoke this morning to see his 2 negatives. Don't give it out if you are not prepared to suffer the consequences.
