Just seen Corrie and burst out laughing

After Peter Barlow got beaten up by Charlie, Blanche says:

"At least you didn't get stabbed in the shower like in that Psychic..."

To which Deirdre says: "Psycho!"

This one was on that 'Corrie Funnies' show (or whatever it was called) over Xmas:

One of my favourite Corrie quotes comes from when Audrey caught Rita, Emily, Blanche and Betty gossiping about her in the Rovers:

How you noticed how dumb Corrie's tiny tots are? Bethany and Amy hardly breathe a word - certainly not like any three and six years olds I know!

Oh no! The whole programme is the highlight of my viewing week! It's got everything - humour, pathos, suspense and it's touchingly tender too - look at the relationship between Fizz and her little brother. It melts my heart.

Also, it's not just Blanche that gets the funny lines. What about Eileen?

When one of the girls was responding to Jason's predicament with his baby, Eileen responded "OK, I didn't ask for a feminist critique!"

I really like Eileen. I want her to be my mate. And I just KNOW that I wouldn't get on with Gail and would probably find Sally really irritating too.
