I'll just sit here with my little sandcastle flag and a bar of CDM.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I suppose CDM is OKish in a nostalgic way. I just can't bring myself to buy any due to the Kraft connection and what they've done to the industry.

I'm finding it very hard to find everyday market chocolate that I am happy to buy.
A lot of the companies that make the chocolate brands available in supermarkets have extremely questionable ethics, or are run by people who do.
My latest turn off is Peter Brabeck, the CEO of Nestle, who was caught on video saying that in his opinion water should be a commodity, not just something everyone has a basic human right to.
I just don't have words to describe my feelings about him and his opinion.
It seems that the universe is encouraging me to eat less chocolate by volume, but go for better quality, more ethical products, and I think I find that extremely ok. lol

It's a shame you don't have a Hotel Chocolat near you because they're ethically sound. I'm not sure about Thornton's; they may get their cocoa from West Africa and that could bring up a child slavery problem. Rainbow, have you ever looked at The Chocolate Trading Company? They do stuff by The Grenada Chocolate Company and many more. The only companies they do that I'm not ethically sure of are Lindt and Charbonnel Et Walker. Have a look.

How did I miss this place?
Some of the chocolate here sounds amazing.  Thanks :D

One thing I really do love is the idea that you could need an emergency delivery of chocolate, and that you would want it so badly that you would pay 17.95 to have it delivered by 9am the next day.
I like chocolate, but not that much. rofl
