OK, this is not really chocolate as such, but it's been bugging me for years. In the late 70's, there used to be a brand of fruit flavoured boiled sweets that were a bit like Spangles but round. There were loads of different flavours and they may not all have been fruity. I think the advert featured a cartoon boy and a dog, but that's probably my mind playing tricks on me.

There used to be sweets called lemon drops, orange drops, cherry drops and I think they did an aniseed one too. They were round, flat on top but curved at the sides and came on rolls, not bags. I think they were made by Trebor.
Yes, this is sounding good. They definitely came in rolls, but I thought they had a collective name? My memory doesn't go back that far.
