I bought a cheesecake because it was 99p instead of £4.25 - despite the fact I'm supposed to be dieting. If only the calories were reduced in line with the price...

If only the energy in food was just calories. Unfortunately they are kilo calories, i.e a thousand times more! That's why they're so fattening.

My morning jog takes me past the local Catholic girl's school just as all the fifth and sixth formers are going in. This is of course a complete coincidence.

Did any of you watch "Coast" last night? It was all about Cornwall. I never realised we are only held on to the rest of England by 4 miles of land. Perhaps one day Cornwall will snap off and float away!
