I wanted iced gems but Morrisons had none so I got the next best thing...party ring biscuits. Unfortunately I think they had been on the shelf quite some time as when I opened them the coloured icing had dropped off most of the biscuits.

That's terrible. I've become almost addicted to Iced Gems lately. It's because I am off chocolate.

I have it on good authority that the new word for 'cool' is now officially 'dandy'.  Everything is being described as dandy by the teenage residents and visitors in this house.

I've always found them quite vomit-inducing. For food colouring stuffed snacks, it has to be pink wafers.

I agree with you there.  Iced Gems have always been referred to as 'dog biscuits' in this household.

Wasn't there a brief phase when teenagers described 'cool' things as 'gravy'?

Back in my day 'cool' was 'awesome'.

I've always loved pink wafers dipped in orange juice. Don't know why but for me it works. I'm gonna have to search for some pink wafers now

There is no way I am using the dandy word.

That's ok Lou, it's strictly for teenagers.

I believe the phrase was "it's all gravy" meaning "it's all good". There was even a song released about it.
