Yes I sell a lot on there. I have had over 18,000 sales now so you can see why 27 negatives doesn't seem much of a big deal to me.

It never fails to amaze me what people buy on ebay. My friend managed to sell an empty margarine tub for £3 because it had the expiration date of 06/06/06.

Has anyone ever done any commission selling? I've been approached by someone today and I'm not sure what to do.

I think ebay has a rule against that and you can report them. I had someone message me last week promoting his website and reported it.

Do you really sell collectibles for geeks lou? What sort? I'm always on the look out for old VHS horror tapes as some can go for a lot of money.

It's through the eBay Trading Assistant programme, so it's perfectly okay on that score - I'm just not sure now if I want to do it.

My friend did it a few times as he has high feedback but he said the people he sold for got twisty over how little he got for their items. I think people are fogetting ebays good days are over for selling and you have to be happy with what you get.

This bloke has 43 negatives which I think is quite a lot - but then again, that's out of about 4500.

Negatives are absolute rubbish. Doesn't mean he is a bad ebayer. Read his feedback. Anyone can see all mine come from non paying bidders with less than 20 feedback. People leave neg feedback out of spite most of the time.

I got my negative feedback removed by ebay now. I'm gonna get the person who did it by opening an unpaid item dispute, and when they don't pay they will get 4 unpaid items strikes.

They need 3 strikes from 3 different people to be thrown off.

My bad feedback for them was also removed, so this means they can just carry on using that account.

well,  it looks as if i'm getting my first negative feedback. i sold a dvd boxset today to an emerican who doesn't understand region coding. i've tried to explain, but he just wont listen. so what do i do - refuse to send it ('cause it wont play over there) and get a negative, or send it anyway and receive a negative because the nimrod can't get it to work? what is it with americans and ebay? if it's not the £'s to $'s conversion they're not underatanding, it's something equally as simple. grr!

Send it to him, and when he complains point out that your listing states which region the DVD is for. He might give you negative feedback, but as you say, he could do that anyway if you refuse to send it out and he takes umbridge. At least this way you will have the money from the sale.
