I get slated at work for wearing anything other than black or navy.  I normally get away with red and I don't like green anaway.  But peach, pink, maroon, magenta or coral are all considered gay by the lumpen workers.

I tend to wear pretty plain stuff to work - if I buy something nice and wear it to work, it doesn't feel special anymore.

I have a friend who is obsessed with pink boots. She is very much a 'girlie girl' and if I go shopping with her, she invariably squeals with delight at the sight of a pair, and I have to remind her she already has 32 pairs exactly the same.
