I tried the goji berry
« on: September 27, 2006, 04:04:33 pm »

Hi all,

I've been curious about this new 'superfood' and was going to get some from ebay. Well, I was in my little independent health food store, and asked if they had any. Well, they'd sold out but i asked if they were nice. The lady then realised there was a split bag behind the counter - so she just gave it to me! It was worth £4. But...

...they're not very nice

I might see if they get any better so i can be all virtuous and healthy

These are weird - at first they taste disgusting, but then they become strangely addictive.

Goji berries are supposed to have anti-ageing properties. You can buy them from Holland and Barrett.

According to The Mirror, they improve sex drive, mental well-being, and are full of vitamins etc etc. Apparently it's a craze that is sweeping Hollywood.

I have seen them at Tesco and at Julian Graves. Haven't tried them though, they are pretty expensive.

These berries are being advertised a lot on the radio. They say they are good for concentration.
