BBC download

Hmmmm....How annoyed am i?! Well, I'll tell you. I was listening to Chris Moyles this morning, and Rachel said you could download an Aled phrase for free. So I did it, and once it has already been downloaded there was a message saying the BBC don't charge, but you will have to pay your network's download rate. I'm with voda - so think it's £2.50.

It's not that I'm mean - but i would never have chosen to spend that money and feel cheated

You always have to check the Ts and Cs with these things. 'Free' rarely means free, sadly.

I know - i'm normally so clued up with this type of thing - i'm the type of person that never goes over my free mins and texts on the phone. I trusted Rachel on the Chris Moyles show.

The company I used to work for did a tie-up with a ringtone company once and we were all offered a 'free' ringtone as a sweetner. I didn't bother but one of the designers did - and found out later he'd been subscribed to a long-term download service and got billed for over £80.

That's disgraceful. A lot of kids got caught out with the frog ringtone.

Personally, I can't understand people paying for a ringtone. I just pick one from my phone menu.

Old but spicey!
