Because you obviously don't have to strip beds, dust and vaccum three bedrooms, do ironing for four people, wash all the floors downstairs and cook Sunday lunch!

Until recently, all of my Sundays have been like that! As I return to work this week, I have vowed to change my lifestyle and work less hard. With daughter away at university, that's one less to clean for and I have decided to try and keep at least two Sundays in the month for having a relaxing time with my husband. I am not sure how it will work out but I am going to try very hard.

623, why not find a 'Sunday hobby'? Fishing? Singing in the choir at church? Sunday football? Gardening?

Failing that, why not do some charity work? You might find life less boring in realising there are many around you much worse off than you are?

That sounds horrible oldspice, will no one else do any of the work?

I tend to stay in on Sundays and watch TV, listen to music, watch a DVD or video.

623 why not try doing something new? You could go to the cinema - they are often much quieter on Sundays.

Sadly, despite women's liberation, this is reality for many, many women who work during the week and try to catch up with domestic chores at the weekend. Often, the rest of the family are working at the weekend so cannot help. It's just modern life - we all work too hard.

The reality is that you do the housework becaue you are good at it.

I'm sure that's what her husband says too.

Every other Sunday I am not at home, so I adore the sundays I am just to potter about and do things I don't get time to do during the working week.

That sounds like a very good idea.  My family do very little to help as well but sometimes it's easier to just get on and do it rather than nagging at them the whole time.

Is that why painters are so boring?
