Royal mails new postal system starts tomorrow. It's all going by size instead of weight now.

True. Don't get caught out putting first class stamps on your Xmas cards this year though because if they are more than 5mm thick you have to pay 44p.

Definitely going to be chaotic tomorrow. I already tested my parcels last week and everything i use to send on a first class stamp has gone to 44p. Everything that used to cost me 44p has gone to £1.00. But everything that used to cost £8.00 has dropped to £5. Yay. Swings and roundabouts but definitely better for sending large items.

This means we will probably have to go to the post office to send every bloody letter till we get used to it!

They have a plastic guide on the counter and if your letter fits through it can go on a first class stamp but if not it's 44p.
