So I was at Tesco today before work and I talked to the lady about the 'promises' at customer services. Remember someone here said that if the price scans differently at the till from what is on the shelf then you get the product free? Well that didn't happen for me. She was reluctant to talk to me because customer services doesn't open until 8am (despite the shop being open 24hrs)

Anyway she said that if the price scans differently from what it says on the shelf you don't get the item free unless you pay for it and queue up at customer services. What I did wrong was to mention it when it rang up wrong at the till and they just corrected it. So remember that for next time folks!

Mind, if you shop out of customer services' opening hours I guess you would have to make another trip so the whole promise seems a bit of a swizz!

That's right Cherry you just let it all go through and pay for it with a sly little smile to yourself and then go straight to CS and get your money back!!

Yesterday she tried to fob me off about the chicken saying it was only the ones with sage and onion stuffing so I opened the packet and poited to the stuffing and said "Oh what is that then?"

She tutted and said "Oh I'll just give it you then"

You have to really stand your ground with them and if they start trying to get out of it or try to just fob you off with a refund point at the "OUR PROMISE" sign.

If they didn't want to give all this free stuff away they shouldn't have had that as their policy

I had problems at Tesco recently with their Customer Service not being available at all hours.  I bought a pair of trousers which were clearly sized incorrectly (yes really - they were miles too big!) and simply wanted to do a straight swap for an identical pair of the correct size, having compared them.  They said I'd have to return the next day so I asked to see the Manager as I couldn't see why this was a problem - I had the receipt too.  The Manager eventually appeared, took my original pair out of my bag and replaced them with the new ones - no money being involved.  I bet the wrongly sized ones went straight back on the shelves too.

Why would I want flip flops when the weather is getting colder by the day?
