Just found this out, don't know if anyone else is aware but....

If you buy an item in Tesco and are charged more than the price on the shelf then you should take it to customer service and they will refund the full price and you get to keep the item!

I will be checking my till receipt very closely from now on

A friend of my mother's (who definitely did not need the money) got a free TV by this method!  I think heads may have rolled afterwards...

Really? I did this yesterday and they just gave me the difference I paid. After I got home I realised one of my BOGOF offers did not go through as well. So next time I'm there I shall complain about that!

If you ever see any BOGOF products reduced at Tesco (say at closing time) make sure you get them. Their system recognises the new price, but also that it's on BOGOF - and takes away the original price, so you can actually make a profit!

Yesterday in Tesco I saw every single one of their apple pie flavour Mullerlight yoghurts (about 6 layers of them, with about 20 in each layer) were all dated 17th September and none of them were reduced!

Cherry, I had a look today and they have a board up in there which is titled "OUR PROMISE" the bottom sentence on there states -

If you are overcharged for an item they will refund you the money in full and you get to keep the product.

So if it happens again point it out to them!
