I know this thread is old, but I had to resurrect it after this line from last night:

Vera: Well she's always been a trollop, that Audrey Roberts, but she acts like she's superior. Half the time she's got her nose in the air...

The funny thing is, in her younger days, Blanche was a bit of a go-er herself! I remember when she ran off with local wide-boy Dave Smith!

Apparently when they brought Blanche back they hadn't intended her to be as judgemental as she is now. But when Sarah got pregnant with Beth, Les Battersby was supposed to have had some lines where he said she was a bit of a sl*g and so on. He was ill when the filming took place, so Blanche took the lines instead.

She does it soooo well!

The other day, in reply to someone moaning about a small ache, she replied "well you havent got a Polish hip!" or something similar!
