I hate sprouts. My parents rave about them and how much they look forward to Christmas so they can have them (yet it never occurs to them to buy them at any other time of year!), but even as a committed veggie, I just can't be doing with them.

Carrots are nice. Peas are horrible.

It depends on the peas.  I had some last night and they were those olive couloured ones.  They were nice.

Does anyone remember when Iceland came up with chocolate flavoured carrots to try and get kids to eat more of them? Died a death I think...

I hate peas too lou. However, some restaurant chains have no imagination and serve peas with everything. The worst thing imagineable is mushy peas. YUK.

Ah mushy peas are OK with mint sauce.  They are lovely with pie and mash.  I am told Camberwell is the place.  My mate's dad who came from Milwall, said that they did the best pie, mash and liquor in the world.

Does anybody know what liquor is in this context?

Not gravy, it's actually very runny parsley sauce and it's absolutely foul.

Parsley sauce is sound.
