Man on mobile phone - " Er no, no you wont be able to get in the front, you'll have to take it up the rear"

Reminds me of a friend of mine who totally innocently told a delivery man wanting to know where to leave his parcel, "You can stick it up my back passage if you want".  She is fairly elderly and nearly died of shame when whe realised what she'd said!

I heard someone on the bus say 'just two stops please'.

I nearly died laughing.

Funny you mention that, the 99p store in Liverpool are selling 24 (twenty-four) glass bottles of that for 99p.

Best before end of Jan 05.

I bought 48.

We have a £1 store in Nottingham.  I like winding the staff up.

Me: 'Excuse me how much is this?'  Assistant: 'Er,... it's £1'.

Me: 'How about this'?  Assistant: 'Yes, that's a pound too.

Me: 'How much is this then?'  Assistant: 'Look it's all £1!!!

Do you think Des Walker, Neil Webb or Franz Carr could walk around it without getting mobbed?

That's what I thought. I mean, if we don't know who they are, how can we mob them?
