I like Diane too, and Betty and Val. But the best character has to be Edna.

Ashley the vicar lives not far from me and goes into my friends shop. That old woman with the hair (Noreen I think) will turn out to be a man dressed up.

I just realised Phyllis meant Noreen, not Diane, was the crazy woman in the wig. She used to be Ruby in Upstairs Downstairs.

I wouldn't get too attached to her Phyllis - three characters are being killed off in a big explosion and she is on the list of possible candidates.
