Hosepipe ban
« on: July 03, 2006, 03:26:25 pm »
How does this work?

1.  You can fill a paddling pool with a hose but you cannot water your plants directly.

2.  You can fill a watering can with a hose but you cannot water your plants directly.

This strikes me as crazy.  Fine the water companies instead of letting the plants suffer.

Some woman got in trouble filling her watering can and discovered this is indeed true.  Just read about her in a paper.

There's no ban here.  I am sharing my shower though just to be on the safe side.

Lucky for you all.  Unfortunately there is a ban here but I think it is ridiculous.  Fine the water companies for all the leaks first, I say.
