Is being axed! After more than forty years it's finally going!

What are your memories?  My particular favourite moment is frequently shown on old nostalgia programmes. It is David Bowie singing Starman with his arm round his co-singer (Mick someone???).

Old but spicey!

My favourite is Kate Bush's first performance, and when Kurt Cobain took the piss out of Smells LIke Teen Spirit.

I remember Kate Bush singing Wuthering Heights too but my earliest memory of TOTP is The Beatles singing Hey Jude and the La La bit at the end going on for ever.

I never thought they'd actually pluck up the courage to axe it. It's been on its last legs for years but I thought it was a sacred cow.

One of my favourite memories is All About Eve going on to perform 'Martha's Harbour' - the audience could hear the track had started, but the band couldn't, so Julianne Regan was stood wondering when she should start miming when the vocal was actually halfway through the first verse!

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I remember that too Goldencup! I was staying with my cousin and we ended up joining in in fits if giggles.

I have not watch the current TOTP for years but often look in on TOTP2

I will miss TOTP.

Remember when Dexy's Midnight Runners sang "Jackie Wilson Said" and TOTP showed a backdrop of Jocky Wilson the darts player?
