Bakeries and pasties
« on: June 02, 2006, 01:22:15 pm »
Does anyone here buy pasties or sandwiches from the likes of Greggs, Ainsleys, Hampsons and so on.

My favourite are chicken bakes from Greggs. They're gorgeous. I also love vegetbale tikka pasties from Hampsons.

Greggs do a Minted Lamb pasty now.

In Liverpool, Hampsons is called Sayers.  I like the Chicken Tikka pasty.

Greggs vegetable pasties are fantastic - and only 63p. I also like the Oggy Oggy pasty company but their Birmingham store has closed down

I have never heard of the shops you mentioned kevvosa. Down here in the cities the main pasty sellers are Warrens and Oggy Oggy. Of the 2 I prefer Oggy Oggy however we have a local independent bakery in my town who do great pasties, and it means I don't have to travel to the city to buy a pasty. And don't forget Ginsters, I am not far from the Ginsters factory and they actually have a factory outlet shop...

Lamb sounds nice, we dont get it here.

When I went to London Kings Cross once there was a little stall selling gorgeous curry pasties but they were quite expensive. They were worth it though.

For some reason Greggs are now linked to a Chav lifestyle.

You know, 'Tasha buys little Courtney a steak bake to pacify her 1 year old teething blues.........

I've heard at least two chav mums with girls called Coutney this week.
Other popular names are Cheryl, Stacy, Chantelle and Chelsea.

I was about to say Darren. I bought a DVD off ebay from someone called Darren recently and it had writing on the underside of it!
