But i will after 15th July and if
anyone ever told him that he was just a figment of my imagination then
he might just have an asthma attack from laughing too hard

I appreciate the good wishes from everyone, but my real issue is that i
just don't understand people who can make such sweeping judgments about
a large group of other people. What motivates someone to just make
rotten statements about lots of people just because you're unahppy with
what one person said / did? All that silly girl did was annoy us
without any benefits to anyone. My big thing is why do that? Or do i
just have a strange life view and that's quite normal.

I think the main problem she had was with me and Lou, but rather than judge people as individuals she decided to have a go at everyone, just because certain people either a) agreed with our point of view or b) took exception to people they regularly chat to getting abuse!

Sad as it seems, a row about smoking! It all went round in circles a bit before one of the people involved decided to get very personal with me. I bit back and so on and so forth.

wow - this seems to be a lot of fuss just because someone didn't agree
with you about smoking - just doesn't seem to be worth the insultst hat
were hurled in this direction

Even though it was the smoking debate that kicked it all off big time, it had been smouldering for some time. It is a matter of lifestyle differences. I also think it is cultural. The couple mostly involved, along with their friend, live in a world (lets be honest, a part of London) where difference is threatening and where the traditional white, working class world (where men dominate, women make the tea and ethnic monorities know their place) is the only world they can relate to. I had had several clashes with lemoneye over the years and the first time it happened he was very nasty indeed because I took exception to what I considered to be a racist remark.

People like that scare me silly because their prejudices cause so many
problems for other people and those predjudices are born of stupidity
and fear - a lethal combination ath the best of times.

That's true. The thing to keep in mind is that they personally feel threatened by things they cannot relate to and I think they also feel a bit paranoid - everything is against them

The sad thing is that even though we're very different, I used to get on fairly well with Lemoneye - but some people are heavily influenced by their partners for the worse.

I don't think you can blame Lisa. It was a joint effort. Also, lemoneye had more brain than Lisa so he could fight better with words. They were both full of poison and as you say, it's sad because that poison comes from generations of prejudice

With the attitude they have i'm not surprised they're paranoid and feel
that everyone is against them. I suppose it will happen when the status
quo of many generations is suddenly given a shake up and privilege that
was previously taken for granted is taken away.

Oldspice I’m surprised to hear you say he made a racist remark as I thought lemoneye was Jewish?
