Although I think there should be tighter controls on immigration and that immigrants should behave themselves when they are in our country I can't help feeling sorry for people who short-sightedly vote in a BNP candidate at a local election.
For at start, a local councillor can do NOTHING about immigration policy as it's a national issue, decided at parliamentary level.
If, God forbid, they did start winning seats at a national level, what is their position on the environment? On education? How would they control national finances? What are their long-term plans for health? And more to the point, if they impose re-patriation on coloured immigrants, whose going to look after them when they are ill?
What I would also like to know is, why are only coloured immigrants a problem to them? What about all the Australians in this country? I work with three white Americans. They are immigrants. Why don't the BNP want to send them home?
