Should John Prescott resign???
« on: May 06, 2006, 09:08:20 am »

He keeps his title, keeps his grace-and-favour properties, keeps his salary but........ he doesn't have to do any work!

If I thought I was going to land all that for shagging on the side I might me tempted........

If he had any pride he'd resign. As it is he'll probably stay on until Brown gets in and then 'retire' - collecting a big fat pension in the process.

The office of 'Deputy Prime Minister' is completely pointless anyway when we all know the Chancellor is due to take over in the top job any time now. They've let Prescott coast for years because he's the only relic of Old Labour left; a bit like that period in the early nineties when they couldn't think of anything for Ken to do in Corrie but didn't dare sack their only original cast member.

A relic of 'old labour'. He didn't have any problems about throwing off the old Labour mantle and getting his nose in the New Labour trough though did he?

I think it's meant to say if he was sacked he could bring Tony Blair down. He couldn't.

How could John Precott bring Tony down using friends from his old labour days. Who listens to them anymore? Anyway, all of John Precott's friends from old labour don't want to know him because he lined up behind Tony.
