With all the recent publicity, who has still got an NHS dentist?  There can't be very many of them left.  I have been with mine for years but he doesn't take new NHS patients anymore and I'm expecting any day to hear that I have to join Denplan or something.

I never went to mine for about 5 years but when I did he still had me on his books (phew!).

He isn't cutting edge (no pun intended) but he is NHS.

Sorry, I thought you just said you went to a dentist in Devon.  That's not Devon as in between Dorset and Cornwall?

You make it sound like it's a choice! The whole point is that it isn't!

I've got an NHS dentist and have to say I've not had a problem finding one myself. However, the dentist that my family all used to go to has now been private for years. I think it's disgusting that even so called NHS treatment comes at a price!

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I'm sure that's the Devon Minty means. Do you know of another Devon, Bounty?

I don't think there is an NHS dentist who accepts new patients in the whole of Cornwall. My dentist (in Devon) still works for the NHS however I don't know whether they accept new patients or not. The NHS charge recently went up by more than double. It's still cheaper than the private charge but still a big leap.

My dentist is an NHS one. She usually cleans my teeth for me when I have a check up but the hygienist has to do that now. I was sent a letter recently about a change in fees.

Holland is an old name for part of the Netherlands. It's not a country in its own right.

People from Finland are called Finns...
