Contact Lenses

Who wears them?  What type do you wear, what cleaning solutions (if any) do you use and where do you buy them?  I've worn soft lenses for years, the type that last for around 18 months, but now they've stopped making the solutions I've been using so I need a change.  I've heard Tesco Online are good but any advice would be welcome.

My sister has specsavers contact lenses, she only pays around £5 or £10 per month and that includes all the lenses and solutions she needs. She has been using the service for a while and is happy with it. I wear glasses and am quite happy to do so.

I also wear glasses as I cannot wear contacts due to my eye condition.

I am the same, Minty. But even if medical science advanced so that I could wear contact lenses I would still choose to wear glasses!

Nor would I. But would you wear lenses if you could?

I wear varifocals. I have to have them tinted because I have trouble with light. Because my eye condition is linked to a wider neurological condition, it is pointless me wearing glasses all the time so I wear them for watching TV, films, football (at live matches) and when reading or typing. I tried contact lenses many years ago but they just didn't help.

My mother and sister both wear contacts, but I can't stand the thought of putting something in my eye. My sister's fell out once in the middle of dinner and she popped it back in without so much as putting her fork down!
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Don't you just love sharing the dinner table with someone with a party trick!

I would happily do that myself but don't like watching anyone else put them in or out!

Anybody considered laser treatment on their eyes. My sister in law recently had it done and she doesn't need her glasses anymore.
