Top shop/Top man! in my opinion of course!

Nah...sports shops are WAY chavier than Topshop/Topman. Topshop is Harvey Nichols in comparison!

Agreed.  Surely JJB is the ultimate.

Correct. If the vowel is short, you double the consonants.

2 V or not 2 V. That is the question.

It used to be about ten - fifteen years ago. Calling it chavvy is a very outdated view. (Of course that's only my opinion, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, blah blah blah...)

I still use the word chav, haven't found one which replaces it yet!

I don't think Topshop is chavvy, the huge one at Oxford Circus is nice, too much choice but very nice.

Chavviest shop has to be Kwiksave.  High on the list also is Farmfoods and Poundsaver.

On the chav subject.  I was in Kwiksave the other day, because my Mum has their Somerfields Apricots in apple juice.  I noticed how 'physically' unattractive the people were in there.  By contrast, shoppers in John Lewis are always good looking.  However, this goes against all I know about genetics. There is no reason why poor people should be 'uglier' than better off ones.

But richer people can make the most of what they have more easily; i.e. better clothes and haircuts etc. Also if you have more money you may have a better diet.

I agree. Its not that poor people are ugly and people with money are pretty but people with money tend to look after themselves better. They have the money to eat properly, wear nice clothes and wear dearer make up! This is only an opinion and generalisation on my part.

If it's true that wealthier people eat better and I think it probably is; what a terrible state of affairs for 21st century britain.
