Leather Lane
« on: April 06, 2006, 02:59:01 pm »
I took a walk to Leather Lane in Holborn this lunchtime and picked up some very good chocolate and sweet bargains. I got:
3 bars of chocolate covered marzipan in a nice box for £1.
4 bags of 14 Chupa Chups lollies for £2
3 big bars of White Smarties Chocolate for £1
6 Texan Bars for £1
1 bag of Mini Heroes for £1

They also a box of Luxury Roses for £1.50, 8 Kit Kat Caramel/Berry bars for £1, 6 Rolos for £1, 2 bags of Fruit Salad and Black Jacks for £1 and loads of other bargains. I know where I will be paying a visit to every couple of weeks. David will be a happy bunny when I get home tonight.

Excellent shopping choccie chick!

My latest bargains were a 500g box of Duc D'o assorted chocolates for £3.49 and a 250g box of Duc D'o milk truffles for 99p at my local department store. Both boxes are well in date.

I am very pleased with my find. I believe they have different stock in on a regulat basis. So I will give it another couple of weeks and head back. All the bits I brought were in date except the marzipan which was out by one month.

They also had 3 packs of Pink and Whites for £1, various packets of McVities Biscuits, Coffee, Crisps, Boxes of Biscuits, Popcorn and chewy sweets.

Sounds great

I love cheap shopping. My local market has loads of stuff but as I'm avoiding chocolate during the week I tend not to buy any now. They had something called Galaxy Flutes recently which were like wafer straw thingies covered in Galaxy.

They sound nice!

If I go to WH Smiths a packet of Rolos is 51p and I can get 6 for an extra 49p! I think I will be getting all my sweet things from there now. Its a nice walk there too.

It sounds like there are a lot of cheap shops/markets around but there are none in my area. Home Bargains sounds great. As does Leeds Market.

It's also a student thing. Even years after graduation there is still that student thing inside...
