This nobody has just won a style award. Seriously. Is it just me, or is she an ugly, slightly lumpy chav who has lots of money to go shopping because she got engaged to an equally ugly, equally chavvy footballer? She doesn't even buy nice things! Yet for some reason the glossies are all over her like she's Audrey bloody Hepburn...

I wouldn't fancy hearing her sing 'Moon River'. I am sick of the cult of celebrity. Most of them are poor role models who do little more for a living than shopping or posing for photographs. Heaven help them when they get old, wrinkled and fat because the media will be very unforgiving to them then.

Look at Chantelle - famous for not being famous! How sad an indictment of our culture is it that someone is celebrated for not being able to do a damn thing other than sit indoors for a bit?

I read this morning that Colleen earned 5 million from modelling and her fitness DVD. She looks in great shape now, all trim and toned and apparently has got into shape for her presenting job on TRevor McDonald Tonight.

Thats what I read too. Good luck to her, sounds like she is trying to make a name for herself and not just as Wayne Rooney's missus.

Good luck to Chantelle in a way. She is making a bit of money and thats good. I am currently trying to find a house to live in and I am finding it very difficult. I don't even have 5% of a mortgage

But she IS just Wayne Rooney's missus, that's the point. Isn't it a bit unfair on people who spent years at college/uni earning Media qualifications, or did their time as a gopher on a TV show looking for a break, only for some footballer's fiancee to get the job simply because she's a footballer's fiancee?

I think Colleen was making her own money from modelling before she was with Rooney. The list is endless if we think about people who are making money simply because of who they are related to are involved with. This could be a new thread couldn't it, all the famous people who don't deserve it.loulou38810.6320023148

Depends what it is. i don't even consider BB to be 'reality TV' because it is nothing like reality. Same goes for 'get me out of here'. However, the Castaway programme that was on a few years ago was a real social experiment and I found that very interesting.

I agree Castaway was good. But is it just me suffering from Ben Fogle overload now? He is everywhere these days. I wouldn't mind but I don't think he is a brilliant presenter.
