I got my mum a top and a bracelet. We're having dinner tomorrow, but not making a big thing of it as it's her 55th birthday next weekend, so we're waiting for that.

I got my Mum 22 chocolates from Chocolate Utopia.  Doesn't sound a lot, but they're wicked chocs.

My boys are pleading poverty as usual!  But they made me breakfast in bed and have promised to tidy their rooms, do the hoovering and do the washing up all day.  To me that's preferable to an overpriced bunch of flowers!

Nothing wrong with quality over quantity!

That's true. Far better those nice chocs than an everday box of something like milk tray. Hope your mum enjoyed them bounty.

Well despite all their promises, my boys did nothing at all to help yesterday.  So today I have gone on strike.  For a start I didn't wake them up this morning (I did warn them in advance) so they missed their respective bus/train.  Hah!
