Surely Cadbury's must just be giving everything away with all this surplus salmonella stock, no?

They can't give away any of the suspected infected stock - it has all been recalled. Unaffected bars are at the same prices they ever were.

Surely that's not too good an idea.  They should offer consumers a discount surely to try to get us back to them.

I heard that they are going to be communicating with customers over the next few weeks to try and gain custom back.

I haven't stopped buying Cadbury's just because some of the varieties I don't buy anyway have been recalled.

They better send me a big book of vouchers.  Surely you'd all like free chocolate too.

I'm sure they will. And maybe the government will turn around and say 'hey, we've been charging you poor sods far too much in tax. Have a year on us'.

If you are bothered you can email Cadbury's, but I seriously doubt they would give a voucher for no reason. You havent been infected with salmonella have you?

Certainly not.  It would simply be good customer relations if they did something nice.

So they just give vouchers to everyone? All 57 million residents of the country, even those who've never bought a bar of Cadbury's in their lives?

Won't happen. It's a very successful marketing strategy.
