Creme Egg Bars
« on: March 17, 2006, 07:03:12 pm »

Hi everyone, I've been lurking around here for ages and think this is a good enough reason to sign up!

Sorry if this is elsewhere and I've missed it! I heard today that cadbury are introducing creme egg bars! It was supposed to be launched in Londis stores on 10th April but a few people said to me today it has been seen in cash n carrys and will be in Tesco soon.

Having given up smoking 4 months ago I've become addicted to creme eggs, so this is probably the worst news ever for me!!

Yes, we have mentioned this on other threads and it's strange because a few months ago I said on this very Forum that cadbury should launch a cream egg bar and they have!
Old but spicey!

Sounds all well and good but the only difference I can imagine is that that the chocolate will be slightly thicker than in cream eggs.

OOOOH - I can't wait

Only worry cos with cream eggs it's all about how you eat it, and it won't be the same with a bar

By the way - how do you eat yours? I bite off the top, stick my little finger in and eat all the fondant, then save the thick chocolately bottom bit of the egg till the end

Is that possible? I thought that was all that was left of a Creme Egg nowadays.

True. And the 'cream' is often hard and nasty.

10th April seems ridiculously late to launch an Easter-themed bar.

That is sadly true, sometimes the cream is practically solid and very granular.  Not nice.  I like the cream to be of a pouring consistency, about the same consistency as clear honey.  Mmmmm.
