Well the thought never entered my head until you mentioned it. Thanks for that. Now not only do I have to deal with a phobia of used things I have to worry about new things too.

I bought something from M & S recently that on examinination at home quite clearly had white deodorant marks. I took it back. (Sorry Lou!).

Yes, clothes and shoes always get tried on in the shop so there's never any guarantee if you buy it that you are the first person to put it on.
