Pro-Cadbury thread
« on: March 10, 2006, 12:33:46 am »

I like Cadbury and Cadbury products. Of course they make mistakes like any major corporation. Yes, they have dropped bars many of us, including me, loved - Fry's Five Centres, Wispa Gold and Mint in particular for me. With the first of those, I think they're missing a trick; 'what happened to Fry's Five Centres?' is the second most common question asked via Cadbury's website, so there is obviously still a market for it. But with regards to other favourites, if they became unprofitable, we can hardly castigate Cadbury for dropping them - they're not a charity. Commercial businesses exist to make money, pure and simple.Cadbury must be doing something right, or otherwise why aren't they looking up to Askews or Ashburys and wondering why they are coming second to them?

I love Cadbury - and I'm proud. I have of course in the interests of fairness created an anti-Cadbury thread too, so if you don't agree with me please feel free to go there and say so.

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

As far as British chocolate goes, Cadbury come out top for me. Flake and Crunchie are my favourite bars and they made my all time favourites: Amazin Raisin Bar, Five Centres, Milk Tray Bar and Cabana.
Old but spicey!

Twirl is nice.  Don't think Cadbury are a top chocolatier but they're OK.

They are the top chocolatier in the affordable market, along with M&S.

It's so long since I had any chocolate (sigh!) but I'm pretty sure I was quite partial to Cadbury's.  Especially Crunchies and Twirls.

No one makes fruit and nut like cadbury. I think it needs their "sour" aftertaste to make it. Most other chocolate is too creamy for my liking.
