Yes, Nottingham does have its challenges and gun crime is on the increase which is very worrying. What I find very hard to take is the senseless, vicious, everyday crimes that happen in our city. here are some examples:
An elderly lady walking home from the shops was diliberately knocked down by a young thug on his bike who then robbed her of her handbag.
A couple were celebrating their engagement and went out for the evening. They were in a taxi waiting at traffic lights when a gang of thugs pulled open the door, dragged the young man out and beat him up - for no reason whatsoever.
Hooligans wrecked a local play area, pushed a car into the heart of it and then set fire to it, completely destroying the equipment.
Disabled people, living independently in a sheltered housing complex have been the target for verbal abuse, vandalism and threatening behaviour at the hands of a gang of youths.
I used to feel sorry for people who could not behave like decent citizens but now I just think they are scumbags, some of whom need a bullet through their temple. Sorry. It just makes me sick to think of defenceless people being treated so badly.
