I was going to go into the one in Blackpool when I was there last year but we went to a chippy instead.

I will avoid it in the future. They taste better out of the bag with a wooden fork anyway

Are chip shops not allowed to use newspaper anymore?

Probably not. They use that whitey grey paper now. Still has the same effect though

There is a particularly nice smell of vinegar with newspaper ink that you don't get from the white paper they use now.

I don't like it when they give you your chips in a polyostyrene box. Ruins it.

I liked battered sauages as well. They are horrendously fattening but lovely

God I hate that too!

You only get about 10 chips in the cone anyway.
I know its more healthy but if I am having chips, I want loads cos I am being purposely unhealthy!!

Chips are served in cones as normal practice in the Netherlands. You get a huge blob of mayo on the top few chips and none reaches the chips lower down. Very annoying.

chips, fish, sausages... whatever (!) - should only ever be wrapped very clumsily in greasy paper. its part of what makes it tasty. (preferably newspaper)
