What do you think of Emilys new church friend Ed being Ernests murderer? How upsetting for Emily.

I think it's a good plot, and Eileen Derbyshire deserves some good scenes.

Yes but poor Eileen. Will she ever find a good man?

No, she is the eternal loser in love. Every soap must have one.

Yes - I thought it was tacky even for her.

That storyline must be one of the most unbelievable to date.

The Ed/Emily storyline in Corrie is brilliant. In a way, I think if I was Emily I'd want to know that my husband's killer was very remorseful and sorry for his crime but i wouldn't want him to be my best friend!

I love Eileen and wish she was my pal. I think she and ed will come right in the end. It's nice to see a plot revived and re-examined like this and interesting to see the real man behind a serious crime.

I like Eileen a lot but if she was my friend I wouldn't let that Deidre tag along.

That's what Corrie does well - it credits the viewers with a memory longer than a goldfish's!

I agree lou. That Deirdre is shameful and she looks more like her mother everyday! Not only that, but doesn't she sound like a bloke at times?

But Blanche has to be one of the best characters in soap.
