I heard a story once which is probably not true, but funny all the same. This lad bought a Valentine's card and a sympathy card at the same time. You can guess what happened next... I'd have loved to see the look on the face of his girlfriend when she got a card saying 'deeply sorry for your loss', and his gran's recently bereaved neighbour got 'I can't wait to give you a special Valentine's Day shag!'

Now I know you're going to laugh..... but I have bought hubbie a decent hands-free kit so he can talk to me properly when he's on nights in his cab instead of using the crappy old cheap one he's got that sends squeaky feedback down my ears!

I have bought him a romanitc card too and a DVD (Batman Returns) which he's wanted for ages.

Awwww, I'm not laughing. I only bought mine a card but he bought me a card and flowers and he's taking me out for lunch in a bit. We have got out the huge first Valentine card that he sent me in 1978 and the boys have had a good giggle at the poem he wrote in it!

They got married eventually, so maybe he fell for her sense of humour!
