Apple and blackberry pie is wonderful. Sharp apple pie with chunks (not mush) and a hint of cinnamon with sultanas is great. The top has to be slightly crunchy and the underbelly a bit soft. Hmmmmmmm

I'm with you on that one but hold the cinnamon and sultanas!  I love blackberry and apple jam too - my Mum makes it every year.

What about Plum Duff - rich, juicy red plums topped with a kind of dumpling? The juice invades some of the dumpling and it is just heavenly.

I haven't made an apple pie yet but I do make a lovely apple and rosemary cake. It has got the thumbs up from the people who have tasted it.
