Beansprouts and Hot Cross Buns
« on: February 10, 2006, 10:02:23 am »

There is a Sainsbury's Local by my gym so I always pop in on the way home to grab the end of night bargains. For some reason they almost always have loads of packets of hot cross buns and beansprouts! (Not in the same packet, obviously...) Why? Has no one caught on yet to order less of these lines? And what is it about them that no one likes?

I must be told!

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I dunno. They are nice with jam on. And you can freeze them.

When I ate them I don't think they should have gone with what I had.

I told you not to put them in that treacle pudding, but would you listen?

Its was David's mum, she cooked a stir fry whilst drank so all kinds went into it.

Drunk cooking, you can't beat it! Those bizarre receipes seem like such a good idea at the time! Of course, the taste can at least help sober you up...

The thing about beansprouts is they only have a one day shelf life so if they're not sold that day they reduce them.
Old but spicey!

I will bear that in mind when I cook them next. Thanks oldspice, I didn't know that.

That's why they go all manky and watery at the bottom of the pack. I end up having to throw up to half the pack away sometimes, but for 10p a pack who cares?
