CC do tell me all about it!  What hotel did you stay in?  Did you go to any shows?  Did you go up any buildings like the Empire State?

I stayed in the Comfort Inn Mid Towm Manhatten. Excellent position as it's on 35th Street right where its all happening. I didn't go to any shows as we ran out of time but we done the tourist thing. Went to central park, up the Empire State Building, Times Square. But got tickets for the bus tour which you can just hop on and off of.

You should get the staton island ferry and go to ellis island. I wish I had of done that.

You will love it GC, I wish everyday that I was there. Its an unbelieveble place. Before you go get something like the Time oUt Guide to New York. It will tell you all you need to know and give you maps.

Thanks CC - I'm planning the schedule already!  We're only going for four days so I want to pack in as much as possible.

Let me know if you want any info GC.

Do as much as you can and take some comfortable walking shoes. I walked my feet off, that and the tour bus is the only way to see it all. Times Square stays open til gone midnight so do that at night if there are things you want to see during the day. And set your alarm in the morning as well, you will regret sleeping in.

One of the tour buses does a night time loop, this will take you downtown to brooklyn or uptown to harlem depending which way you want to go. And because its night, its really pretty.

Oh and its safe there. I never felt scared at anytime. The city never sleeps so there are always loads of people around.

I could go on for ages, but I don't want to bore everyone.
