Not yet crossed the line and actually bought anything on e Bay yet. Always been a bit nervous that I'd be the on watchdog having been ripped off. Not sure I could cope with Nicky Campbell!

Ive been buying a lot of cheap rare horror films on there recently. The only drawback with ebay is that you have to wait close until when the bidding ends to make sure you get your item. And often with the postage costs on top, it doesnt work out as that much cheaper than buying in shops.

Plenty of bargains to be had at car boot sales. On summer Sundays we go way out into the countryside to village or school bootsales where you get no traders but just genuine bargains.

School ones are always good - as you say, you tend to get more genuine sellers there.  I used to get some brilliant bargains for the boys when they were younger.  Probably my best were Star Wars toys before the prices really took off - a Millennium Falcon (boxed) for a pound and the rare Yakface figure for 20p!

Wow!

My husband has bought rare LPs from boot sales and charity shops and I have bought some nice china pieces and other bits - all worth much more than I paid.

I kind of disagree. If you shop wisely you can get fantastic bargains. I get all my shirts for work on there, they are all Next and sell for between £2 and £6. Thats including postage. They would retail for between £14.99 and £30 in the shops.

I buy stuff on eBay because of the variety of things available.

The item from eBay which has given me the most enjoyment was last summer when I was replacing all my old cassette tapes and I got all the 'Now' albums in mp3 format for a fiver (strictly for back-up purposes of course).

Have never sold anything on eBay.

Once you start Cherry its addictive. You end up looking through your wardrobe for things to sell.

Me too

You would be surprised at what people will pay if they like an item. I sold a shirt for £11 and it was only from Topman.

When oh when is 5p listing day coming around again? I have loads to put on and am getting impatient!

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

5p listing day is a nightmare. It makes it too busy and slows down.

And then there is a huge amount of new things. I tend to not list on 5p listing day as there is too much competition!
