I love charity shops. I can't resist them. I buy books mostly but also china and glass oddments. On Saturday I bought my daughter two really beautiful tops and she was delighted with them. If you shop carefully, you can get some wonderful bargains.

The other thing I like is that Oxfam sel Fairtrade goods and beautiful crafty things made by people in the developing world. I got some lovely things for friends this Christmas and they loved them.

Old but spicey!

I like Charity Shops too. I have only really brought books in there so far but they are so much cheaper than in the shops.

My mum has brought a few bits of clothes, she got a lovely skirt from M&S for £2.50 and a lovely pink cardigan.

I like charity shops too. I buy mostly CDs and children's books but sometimes handicrafts. They sometimes have all kinds of bits and pieces which are useful for my craft projects.

I give my unwanted stuff to the school sales or recycle it, I don't take it to a charity shop.

I must admit I do get a bit funny about second-hand clothes sometimes, but I have worked in a charity shop and I know only very clean stuff gets put out, and a lot of poorer quality stuff goes straight into the recycling bin. I used to think until I worked there that all charity shops were 'everything for 30p' - not true.

I also like them for my eBay stock. I picked up a Nicole Fahri jacket in the clearance sale for £1 and sold it for £13!

Good work Smurfy!

I don't like the Cahrity Shops which smell, so I advoid them. But shops like Scope, Oxfam, the blood one and Sense are all very good.

My mum loves looking at the cookery books

You wouldn't believe how many times I got people asking me if we had an item in a different size or colour when I worked there. 'Yes, when people donate clothes we insist they have them in every size from 8 to 20'.
