Very weird. I don't remember it that well, but it was a cookery show hosted by a vicar.

That reminds me, when I went out for a meal with a group of friends a few weeks ago our waitress bore a startling resemblance to Mrs Overall.  As the word spread around our table, everyone gradually got the giggles each time the poor woman staggered over to us.  She dropped several things and spoke just like her too!

 Was she a plant?

Until recently, there were nine women and one man in our office. We usually go out to dinner once a term and one year we went to a new restaurant and our one and only man sat at the head of the table. Now we are all around the 40 - 50 mark and the waitress asked us if we were a family group.

"Yes" I told her "We are Mormons, and we are all his wives".

We nearly got thrown out!

Old but spicey!

I know, I heard that...

I was always more of a 'Number One' reader, but I did used to get Smash Hits occasionally, and then all the time when they asked Number One. It's a slice of my childhood. Do you remember Black Type, Cherry?

Yes Smurfy, Black Type was the letters page where everyone signed their letters with names like 'Morton Harket's Bottom' or 'Neil Tennant's Chest Wig'.

I liked Number One as well but Smash Hits was around before (and after) that. I also used to read Just 17 but that was more of a girls magazine so I doubt you read that.
