I have just been to a leaving do which was very nice. We had a good buffet and the collection bought the lady who left a laptop computer, a big bunch of flowers and an album of photos. She is a lovely lady and I'll miss her. Unlike your boss Smurfy...

You can't avoid my boss - she has a mad screechy voice that just carries. I'll just be in the middle of something and a cry of 'Ryan!' will come out of the blue, and I'll have to drop everything for her latest daft whim!

I've just finished my six-month secondment as Manager and although I'm obviously not leaving I got some really nice thank-you presents - a bag I wanted, flowers, smellies, jewellery and a lovely card. I was really surprised and pleased.

Of course they could just be glad I've finished bossing them around....

That was lovely Goldencup. I expect that loved you to bits. When I finished a particularly gruelling post-graduate course last year and passed with honours my colleagues bought me flowers and champagne. It was a lovely surprise.
