Did anyone get anything good? I thought they were a waste of time. i did get some nice table linen for next Christmas from John Lewis but nothing much else. I'm waiting for the weekend. I am sure things will be cheaper then.

I thought they were a waste of time too.  The only things I bought (and this is a bit sad) were Christmas cards and wrapping paper!

I usually buy next year's cards in the sales but I have decided not to send cards next year. I'm going to buy a goat for a family in the Third World instead.

My colleague did that for all her presents this year - they had goats and toilets from Oxfam!

I got stuck in snow and traffic and turned round and went home to finish my stuffing.

I think now that the sales tend to start before Xmas is over it isn't the same anymore...... usually can't really be too bothered with them too much myself. Although we did have a lillte saunter out to the shops today.

The shops are full of rubbish so I got nothing in the sales.

Some people queued outside Next from 3am! I hardly ever go in there because they never have my size so I do wonder what makes them so special!

I can't believe people queued to go to bloody Next! I know they have good reductions, but I'm not that desperate for a half-price polo neck!

Having said that, I found a jumper I really wanted in Debenhams for £15 instead of £30 - and when I had got to the till it had gone down to £9!

Lou - My shoes are down to £55 - I'm off to Schuh...b

Good for you smurfy. Let me know when you have them.

I seen big queues at Next but nothing in there interests me. Debenhams sales are usually quite good .

I bought my mam a Tassimo chocolate/tea/coffee maker for Chrimbo so I am going to see if Currys/comet/Argos have them in the sale as I would like one for myself.

We don't have a Debenhams here. Only a BHS . You won't believe the rubbish they sell in there. More like a third world rummage sale. We have a M&S but people go insane in their sales so I didn't venture in.

I don't really bother with the sales (a lot of the time the mark downs are so small its not worth the scrum to find a so called bargain).

Did buy a new router for home though today, PC world on-line offer for 40quid including a notebook wireless card (that i have no need of) it's a very good spec. for the price and I picked it up in store to save the 4quid postage (and noticed the in store price is 80quid).
anyone want a wireless pcmcia card going cheap?

I got some towels in the sales at House of Fraser, all half price. Some gorgeous underwear from Ann Summers. Some Christmas Cards and tags.
David got a chunky cardigan and a jumper, both over half price in River Island.

I don't go mad for the Next sale anymore as I get Next stuff from eBay!
